Iron Man (2008)

Fans who grew up reading Marvel Comics may not think of Iron Man of being this much of the central figure within the Avengers but in the movies, Tony Stark and Stark Industries are pivotal. This is the movie where Marvel began revamping characters and producing them through Marvel Studios. This took the Marvel universe in an entirely new direction. Plus, Robert Downey, Jr. does an amazing job portraying the heart and humour that are central to Marvel’s appeal. He’s a rich, spoiled bad boy who overcomes problems to become a better person….but still remaining an entertaining bad boy.

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry so don’t miss this movie. Bruce Banner and the Hulk both receive the credit they deserve as complex characters.

Perfect for a little break from the Earth and our typical problems.
