Description
Side by side and scowling, this Tweedledum and Tweedledee cardboard cutout shows the chubby twins shoulder to shoulder, each in a white bobble hat with their name knitted in blue, Dum on one and Dee on the other. They share the same rosy cheeks, red noses and furrowed ginger brows, and both hold their hands up in front of their chests as they eye each other suspiciously. Matching navy jackets with brass buttons, wide white collars, red neckerchiefs and baggy white trousers make them truly identical.
This duo is part of the Alice's Wonderland Characters range, an original Starstills design inspired by the quarrelsome twins Alice meets in Lewis Carroll's sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The pair are also well known from a traditional nursery rhyme about their battle over a rattle.
Stand them at the entrance to a Wonderland party as a photo prop so guests can squeeze in between the twins, or add them to the decorations at a Mad Hatter tea party, a twins' birthday or a nursery rhyme themed classroom. The included mini tabletop cutout of the pair sits neatly on a cake table or bookshelf.
